MucoPlex contains the active ingredient Guaifenesin (glycerol guaiacolate), in a base of herbs and other ingredients. This formula helps remove excess mucus and phlegm from the respiratory airways due to bronchial irritations.

Dr. Edelberg's comment:
MucoPlex (Guaifenesin) is an expectorant that thins the thick mucous, allowing it to empty from your sinuses. It is a great product for colds, respiratory congestion, and sinus infections. I recommend one to two tablets every four hours for adults (not to exceed 12 a day) and half that dose for children over six years old (not to exceed 6 a day).
